All Catholic schools in Western Australia have access to a range of psychology services to support students and staff.
While some larger schools and colleges employ their own psychologist, others are supported by the Catholic Education Western Australia Psychology Team.
This Team is funded by the State Government through the Department of Education. All WA Catholic schools are eligible to access the services provided by the Catholic Education Western Australia Psychology Team.
Support is provided by this Team in areas relating to mental health and wellbeing, learning, behaviour, attendance and crisis response. The Team works directly with students, particularly in regard to assessing student needs and recommending interventions. The Team also works extensively with staff to build capacity within schools through delivering training and providing consultation.
