Liwara Catholic Primary is a co-educational primary school catering for approximately 470 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Located in the suburb of Greenwood, 16 km North of Perth, Liwara offers a holistic education enabling all children to experience the integration of Christian faith and life.
The school is committed to seeking excellence in teaching and learning, with digital technologies permeating the Curriculum. The school’s comprehensive learning program is enhanced by special learning area programs including, Science, Physical Education, Languages (Italian) and The Arts – Visual Arts and Music. Our Music program offers our students opportunities to participate in the school choir or become a member of the upper school rock band.
Early intervention in Literacy and Numeracy, a Gifted and Talented program and a social and emotional learning framework, Kids Matter, are all distinctive features of the school’s curriculum. In addition an Instrumental Music program provides the opportunity for children to receive individual instrumental tuition.
We are committed to maximising the learning opportunities for our students, with the support of parents. We strive for our students to be faith filled, confident, fully rounded lifelong learners. Our strong connection with parents and the parish ensure that every student feels safe, has a sense of belonging and is known by name and need.
As a learning community, centered on the example of Christ, our core values Faith, Trust and Respect underpin all that we do.
