Our Lady of Good Counsel School

At Our Lady of Good Counsel, we provide a contemporary, engaging education where students learn through purposeful, hands-on experiences alongside targeted, explicit literacy and numeracy instruction. In our Early Years, play-based learning is complemented by intentional teaching, creating rich opportunities for children to grow, develop and succeed. Our specialist programs include Music, Visual Arts, STEM, Japanese and Physical Education, with a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom including instrumental tuition in Violin, Cello, Clarinet and Flute, Instrumental Ensembles, Choir, Dance Group, Gifted and Talented programs, targeted literacy and numeracy intervention, and our school Netball Club. Students also participate in swimming lessons in Years 1–4, a Surfing Program in Years 5–6 and camps in Years 5–6, providing opportunities to build confidence, independence, resilience and teamwork. We are a close-knit, community-focused school, with strong partnerships between staff, students and families supported through an active P&F, Fathering Group and Parent Representative network. Our approach ensures every child is known, valued and supported to discover their strengths, develop their passions and achieve their best.
