Excellence in education

Catholic schools have a history of academic excellence and as providers of quality, Christ-centred and child-focused education, our schools and colleges enable students to gain confidence in their abilities and to achieve to their unique potential. Catholic schools are among the top performing schools in the state each year in the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) examinations.

Achievements and Results

Grow, belong and be safe

Our schools and colleges are inclusive and supportive learning environments where diversity is celebrated, and students are encouraged to discover their abilities and explore their potential. We recognise the family as each child’s most influential educator and actively partner with parents and caregivers, encouraging open communications and supportive learning environments.

Student Wellbeing and Safety

Nurturing our students

The wellbeing and safety of all students is central to the purpose of Catholic education and we acknowledge that healthy relationships and exceptional pastoral care are core to each child’s positive experience at school. Our schools and colleges are places where students are nurtured to grow, to belong and to be safe.

Student wellbeing and safety

Catholic schools and colleges understand that through positive student, parent, teacher and peer relationships, we create a nurturing and safe community, providing children and their families with a sense of belonging and connectedness.

With the support of parents, our schools determine the needs of individual students and put programs and support in place to address those needs, ensuring the progress and wellbeing of the whole child, not just their academic performance.

All Catholic schools are guided by our Child Safe Framework. The Framework is based on contemporary, international and national research and best practices to support a child safe culture and the fundamental right of every child and young person to be respected and nurtured in a safe learning environment.

Focus on affordability

Almost 1 in 5 school-aged children in WA benefits from our inclusive and accessible education.

Catholic schools recognise the significant contribution families make to the cost of educating their children. In acknowledging the challenges facing some families, Catholic schools are focused on minimising school fees, offering financial support to those in need, and providing sibling discounts and scholarships.

Fees and Enrolments

Fee Support

Catholic schools are determined that no family seeking a Catholic education for their children be denied the opportunity due to financial difficulty. Families with limited capacity to pay school fees are eligible for support.

Sibling discounts

Families with siblings enrolled at the same Catholic school are entitled to a level of family discount determined by the school board.

Health Care Card Scheme

For families at Catholic schools, the Health Care Card Discount Scheme provides an automatic fee concession to the holders of eligible means-tested family concession cards. This discount applies to all year levels from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Diversity in learning

Catholic schools promote education for all – celebrating the diversity and achievements of every student and encouraging them to discover their abilities and reach their full potential.
