Gifted Education

CEWA > Learning & Wellbeing > Diverse Learning > Gifted Education

Catholic schools celebrate the diversity and achievements of all students, encouraging them to discover their abilities and reach their potential in all aspects of school life.

Students are supported through an inclusive, whole school approach that recognises individual learning needs and provides depth and complexity through stimulating, flexible and differentiated learning environments.

Gifted and talented children come from diverse cultural, linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds. Identifying, monitoring and fostering outstanding potential (giftedness) and outstanding performance (talent) in our school communities, from early childhood, primary and secondary years, is imperative.

To address the specific needs of gifted and talented students, our Catholic schools promote personalised learning programs that are characterised by flexibility, quality not quantity, creativity and daily challenge. The socio-emotional needs of gifted students are also supported through our schools’ programs.

Gifted and Talented Education programs differ between schools. Please visit the school’s website or contact the school to find out what is offered.
