CEWA Student Advisory Council

CEWA > Our Community > CEWA Student Advisory Council

An active example of student voice driving change.

The CEWA Student Advisory Council consists of 20 Catholic school students from across Western Australia, with a purpose of informing and shaping Catholic education, in consultation with the Council Chair, the Deputy Executive Director. For more information about the Council, please refer to the Terms of Reference.

Nominations are open bi-annually for students in Years 7–11 who are interested in the opportunity to serve as a Member of the CEWA Student Advisory Council, with the next intake taking place in 2027.  If successful, students will be required to attend a minimum of five meetings via Microsoft Teams over a period of two years (seven Terms).

Members of the Student Advisory Council will work directly with the Chair of Council in identifying key priorities for students, opportunities for System growth and advocating for student needs. The Student Advisory Council will be representative of the students across each of the four diocese and will be critical in co-contributing to the future of Catholic education.
