Students from Irene McCormack Catholic College have an extensive range of exciting educational opportunities. Located in Butler, the co-educational College provides quality Catholic education for students from Years 7 to 12, achieving consistently high results for university and VET qualifications. The College curricular includes Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Physical and Outdoor Education, Digital and Material Technologies, Foods and Fashion, as well as quality learning experiences in Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Science.
The College has an extensive extra-curricular program that includes Dance, Drama, Music, and Interschool sporting opportunities featuring the Football and Soccer Academies. These programs are supported by excellent facilities.
Daily community service opportunities create a real feeling of having made a difference, and provide meaningful and positive experiences for students.
Students assist at Brighton Catholic Primary School’s Reading Group, Merriwa Primary School’s Breakfast Club and the Learning Support Unit at Butler College. Other service events include Wheelchairs for Kids, the Winter Appeal, St Vincent De Paul Street Appeal, City to Surf Marathon Recovery Tent, the Winter Sleepout, Relay for Life, and service afternoons at the College and St Andrew’s Parish.
