St Anthony’s School is a Catholic co-educational primary school currently comprising approximately 490 students from Three Year Old Kindergarten to Year 6 serving the Parish Community of St Anthony of Padua, Wanneroo.
Both a strong physical and spiritual connection between school and parish is promoted and developed by all members of the two communities. St Anthony’s School was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1935 and also has a Servite tradition.
We value our community and realise the importance of working collaboratively to develop the next leaders and active contributors of our community. We offer several extracurricular activities including camp, excursions, an extensive sport program and various before and after school sporting and music opportunities.
St Anthony’s School provides an education that emphasises the individual growth of each child in the school via a wide range of learning opportunities with specialist teachers in the areas of Science, Music, Physical Education, Visual Art and Languages (Italian). The school also offers and promotes a Gifted and Talented Program centred in the middle to upper primary classes.
Literacy and numeracy intervention programs including Reading Recovery and EMU (Extending Mathematical Understanding) are an integral part of the curriculum offered. Technology is embedded within classroom practice across all year levels and as an integral component of literacy and numeracy learning.
