St Joseph’s School Boulder offers an outstanding education, from Three Year Old Pre-Kindy to Year Six, within a warm, intimate, inclusive and friendly environment where all children are welcomed and challenged to reach their potential in a Catholic context.
Our School
Founded in 1897 by the Josephite Sisters, St Joseph’s continues to provide high-quality education to the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region, including attracting students from Coolgardie and Kambalda. Single-stream classes from Pre-Kindy to Year 6 mean that each of our students is known by all staff members, allowing us to provide high levels of pastoral care and support. Our facilities are modern, with all classrooms undergoing renovations in the last few years, and our school is extremely well resourced. We have a strong emphasis on play-based learning in our PK-2 classrooms and our Year 3-6 students engage in collaborative inquiry-based learning on a regular basis. Our teachers use evidence-based, whole-school approaches to teaching literacy and numeracy and all classes have the support of education assistants for at least part of each day. Parents are active partners in the education of their children at Saint Joseph’s School.
