St Joseph’s School is a Catholic co-educational Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 School, in the picturesque Avon Valley.

Our School

Situated off Great Eastern Highway and just 90 km from Perth CBD, the school has been preparing students to reach their potential in all facets of their lives, be that academic, spiritual, sporting or cultural for over 125 years.

We are the only private school between Mundaring and Kalgoorlie, offering two classes per year group. Students benefit from a seamless education journey, forming lasting community connections and learning in a familiar, supportive environment.

Our school seeks to nurture the individual qualities of each student in a caring and accepting community. We recognise the importance of an emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy in the early years and the need for early intervention. Year 6 students are able to enter the da Vinci Decathlon competition for academically gifted students. Bahasa Indonesia is also taught at the school from Year 1 to Year 6 and Italian is taught in Years 7 and 8. Joseph’s offers a diverse range of pathways for Year 11 and 12, including ATAR, VET, Uni Ready, and Flexitrack programs, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to achieve their goals.

Private music tutors are available on school grounds, and the Primary School Choir has performed exceptionally well in the Catholic Schools Performing Arts Festival and always achieves highly in the annual Avon Valley Arts Festival. Our comprehensive physical education program enhances the holistic approach to developing each student.

We are an active community with great support from parents. As a Catholic school, there is an emphasis on the faith development of students and participation in the Sacramental Program organised in conjunction with St Joseph’s Parish.

If you’re interested in becoming part of the St Joseph’s community, we would love to hear from you.
