St Peter's Primary School caters for students from Pre Kindy through to Year Six, in a unique environment, which offers opportunities for each child to develop emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically and cognitively. This is achieved by providing and coordinating educational activities through a whole school approach, which develops an awareness and understanding of concepts necessary for life and an educational experience within the Catholic faith.
Our School
St Peter’s School derives its strength from truth and honesty with God and one another. As we strive to model the love of Jesus, our teaching and learning will reflect the needs and interests of individuals and the community.
St Peter’s is a triple stream co-educational primary school situated about 6 kilometres north of the CBD. The school has an enrolment of approximately 750 students from Pre Kindy to Year 6 and draws the majority of students from within the Parish of Bedford/Inglewood. The school provides children with an attractive learning environment and also an excellent working environment for staff.
The staff provides an integrated curriculum for all the students with Religious Education as the focus. The curriculum draws together the concepts, knowledge, skills, attitudes and values from the curriculum framework in developing the competencies of expressing, investigating, communicating, creating and reflecting. St Peter’s offers a range of specialist programs including Academic Extension Programs, EMU Mathematics Program, Bond Blocks, MiniLit and MacqLit as well as Music, Physical Education, Visual Arts, Science, Performing Arts and Auslan.
St Peter’s is a strong community that works together as one with parents, students, staff and the parish to foster an environment that can enable us all to reach our fullest potential.
St Peter’s Church and the school share common ground and a number of facilities. The Parish Priest is very supportive of the school and has built a good relationship between the staff and students.
