The Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia (CECWA) was established by the Bishops of Western Australia to ensure the Bishops’ Mandate for Catholic education in Western Australia is enacted throughout the State.

The Catholic Education Commission of Western Australia (CECWA) and Catholic Education Western Australia Limited (CEWA), including all Catholic schools, are accountable to the Bishops of Western Australia, State and Commonwealth Governments, as well as their local communities.

Together the CECWA and its committees, the CEWA Executive Team, CEWA office staff and CEWA schools and colleges work to fulfill the CECWA Strategic Directions in line with our Guiding Principles and Strategic Focus Areas. The ultimate goal is the delivery of the vision for CEWA by providing the best possible learning outcomes and faith formation opportunities for our students.

The CEWA Executive Team and the staff of their directorates function as the executive arm of the CECWA.

Strategic Directions 2019-2023

The Strategic Directions is the result of an extensive process of consultation between the CECWA and key stakeholders from across our Catholic education system in Western Australia.
