Seton Catholic College SAMSON

Seton Catholic College is a co-educational Secondary College of approximately 1000 students from Years 7 to 12 offering the full range of academic and vocational subjects, as well as providing a caring Educational Support Unit for students with disabilities. This College, with its rich Catholic heritage dating back to 1855, promotes a strong holistic approach and is committed to providing a broad and meaningful education to each of its students.

Our philosophy that “Every Interaction Matters” underpins our day to day dealings with students and staff as well as our wider school community and is the key to our success. We are very proud of the happy, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere at Seton Catholic College. It is a friendly school, where individuality is celebrated and strong lifelong friendships are formed. Believing that a truly healthy education is centred on mutual respect Seton is renowned for its high-quality pastoral care, which permeates all aspects of College life. Its importance is based on the belief that we are all made in God’s likeness and, therefore, each one of us is valued and deeply respected.

We believe that both students and staff give of their best when they feel a part of a positive community where there is respect and positive interaction among all involved in the community. The vertical pastoral care structure is designed to challenge our students to strive for excellence in an environment in which they will feel happy and safe, and where staff and students look after each other.

Our Co-curricular and Extra-curricular Programs extend our students and allow them to thrive, be it in Accelerated classes, the Excellence and Creativity Program or our highly regarded and successful Arts and Sporting programs. The College also offers, as part of its commitment to excellence, both Junior and Senior Academic Scholarships.
