School Description

St Vincent’s School is a co-educational Catholic primary school catering for approximately 460 students. The school prides itself on ‘Making Jesus Real’ and embodies this through welcoming interactions and seeing the Spirit of Jesus in daily life. St Vincent’s School enjoys a close relationship with the Parish Community and all members of our community are expected to participate in the life of the School and Parish for the benefit of all. Due to the school’s growing numbers and new residential areas being established, St Vincent’s began its second stream in 2010 and is currently double stream from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school also offers a 3 Year Old Playgroup.

In addition to providing a sound academic curriculum in a welcoming and supportive environment, students are taught by specialist teachers in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Science and Italian. These is an extension program, Challenge, for identified children in Year 4 to Year 6. The school has a Learning Support Coordinator who monitors and assists students in all year levels. An Extending Mathematical Understanding Teacher works with children in junior primary requiring additional learning opportunities in Mathematics. Education Assistants work across the school to enhance learning opportunities for the diverse needs of students attending St Vincent’s School.

St Vincent’s School is located approximately 20km south of Perth CBD. The surrounding area has a growing population and has a wide diversity of cultural and English as a second language backgrounds.
